Another historic day along the Alameda waterfront.

Beer City Alameda kicked off with a run along the waterfront and around Alameda Point and wrapped up with tasting fine regional beers and kombucha.

The runners skirted a former seaplane lagoon and ran next to the 1940s-built aircraft carrier USS Hornet. They passed massive former aircraft hangers, since turned into award-winning wineries, distilleries, and brewery taprooms. It really was a run through history and the most critical naval air station on the West Coast during the 1940s.
