Join us on Saturday, March 20, 2027 at ShoreLine Aquatic Park for Beer City Half™ Long Beach! Our races run along the waterfront and head out and up the LA River. See the sights, run the trails, and drink the brews that make Long Beach a home base for beer lovers. Beer City Festival is a full day of fun. Drink local and dig it!
The day starts with The Beer City Half at Seashore Aquatic Park for a run around the park and up the LA River Trail. Beer City Festival includes a half marathon, 10k, and 5k distances. See a part of Long Beach you didn’t know existed. The Beer Stroll is a 1-mile walk around Seashore Aquatic Park.
Join us for the Beat The Beast Beer Mile sponsored by Beachwood Brewing. This is a beer mile with a twist. Race other drinkers but keep ahead of the Beer City Beast or you’re out!
The post-race refreshment will introduce you to some of Long Beach’s and California’s best brewers. What better place to DRINK LOCAL than Long Beach?
Every racer receives a custom Key to Beer City Long Beach finishing medal, shirt, and a special Beer City tasting glass
Beat the Beast is our special beer mile where you race others and one of our Beer City Beasts. Drink 4 12-oz beers while running a mile. If the Beast catches you, you’re out of the race. Better move quickly!
Beat the Beast takes place at Shoreline Park, starting at 11am.
All Beasts receive a special finishers medal and beer of course.
Starting at 1pm, Shindig kicks off. The party moves to ISM Brewing for an afternoon of music, beer, food, and games. Clean up and then come join in the fun. Show off your Key to Beer City and Beer City Half Schwag.
Shindig tickets cover your first beer and include a special Beer City pin. Hang out here and then head out to explore Long Beach. Your ticket covers your first beer. Shindig serves as Beer City HQ for the rest of the day.
Yes, everyone of all ages can enjoy the music and food. Children can accompany a ticketed adult.
We will sell dd tickets in registration and at the door.
Families are welcome at Beer City. All drinkers 21 and over receive a wrist band to access the tasting.
There is paid parking in the lot next to the event.
Yes, this event is rain or shine.
Yes, pets are allowed. Dogs must be on-leash the entire time.
