Hi everyone,
I’m still thinking about this weekend and wanted to share some thoughts while they’re fresh.
This was our first time bringing Beer City to San Diego, and honestly, it felt different from the start. I’m no stranger to running through Mission Bay, and obviously Beer City has happened plenty of times in different places, but something about the energy from all of you and the incredible breweries who welcomed us like old friends — whatever it was, something clicked.
We get to travel around and bring our community to new cities, and each place teaches us something. But San Diego? You showed us what happens when a new community and our traveling circus meet and just… fit. The volunteers were spectacular — so many of you stepped up to make the day run smoothly. The local brewers shared not just great beer but their stories and passion. And all of you runners brought the exact spirit that makes Beer City what it is.
This feels like the first of many special times we’ll spend in San Diego. I can already tell this is going to become a core part of the Beer City calendar and a gathering place for our community.
