Beer City is returning to to Almaden Lake Park in San Jose, for another full day of running, beer tasting, games, live entertainment and fun! Whether you come for the morning run or the afternoon beer festival — or both! — Beer City has something to help you welcome Summer the San Jose way.
The day starts with The Beer City Half, which includes a half marathon, 10k, 5k distances, as well as our new Questicorn – a unicorn-themed 1.5 mile fun run/walk. The post-race celebration goes until noon and offers you a selection of brews as part of your registration. Also, there will be bubbly water and sodas, as well as snacks for everyone.
Every racer receives a finishing medal, shirt, a special Beer City tasting glass. Questicorn questers receive a finishers medal and can purchase shirts separately.
Starting at noon, Beer City Festival kicks into high gear. We welcome you to drink deeply from over 25 beverage companies which will be serving a selection of beer, kombucha, and hard tea. Come and learn more about some local brewers you may know like Camino, Umunhum, S27, and Strike, and also discover some new ones like Beer City Sonoma All-Stars, Cuver, Third Street Aleworks and Lagunitas.
Beer City Festival includes unlimited beer tasting, games, and live entertainment. Beverages are served in 7oz Beer City Festival tasting glasses for you to take home.
For runners, Beer City Festival tickets are available at 40% off.
Starting in May, prime your pump for Beer City San Jose with The Beer Trail, a treasure hunt that takes you to Brewers and Taprooms all month.
With each visit, you collect Beer City tokens, and get to try some of the brews which will be at the event. We send you clues about the newest locations by text. Text BEERTRAIL to 510-800-7688 to see!

Yes, everyone of all ages can enjoy the music and food. The tasting area is reserved for our ticketed guests.
We will sell dd tickets for $20 cash at the door.
Are children allowed?
Families are welcome at Beer City. All drinkers 21 and over receive a wrist band to access the tasting.

There is a parking lot off Winfield Boulevard at the East Entrance.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed. Dogs must be on-leash the entire time.
Beer City will follow all restrictions from the City of San Jose and Santa Clara County.
