May The 4th Be With You! Join us along with Drakes Brewing Company at The Barn in Sacramento as we kick of Beer City Sacramento with a run on the Riverfront, through Old Sacramento, and out along the American River Bike Path. When you get home we will be there with tastes of Drake’s. Stick around for the afternoon and taste the fruits of Beer City Festival, with dozens of brewers joining in the celebration.
The day starts with Beer City Half which includes 10k, 5k distances, as well as The Jedi Run, a 1-mile run/walk that starts and ends with beer. Costumes welcome!
The post-race celebration goes until noon. Also, there will be bubbly water and sodas, as well as snacks for everyone.
Every racer receives a custom Key to Beer City finishing medal, shirt, a special Beer City tasting glass, comfy shirt and bib.
Starting at noon, Beer City Festival kicks into high gear. We welcome you to drink deeply from multiple brewers which will be serving a selection of beer, kombucha, and hard tea. Come and learn more about some local brewers you may know as well as some that we’ve met in our travels like Almanac, Faction and Henhouse.
Beer City Festival includes unlimited beer tasting, games, and live entertainment. Beverages are served in 7oz Beer City Festival tasting glasses for you to take home.
Starting in April, prime your pump for Beer City Sacramento with The Beer Trail, a treasure hunt that takes you to Brewers and Taprooms all month.
With each visit, you collect Beer City tokens, and get to try some of the brews which will be at the event. We send you clues about the newest locations by text. Text BEERTRAIL to 510-800-7688 to see!
The Beer Trail is free. Registration to Beer City is still required.

Yes, everyone of all ages can enjoy the music and food. The tasting area is reserved for our ticketed guests.
We will sell dd tickets in registration and at the door.
Are children allowed?
Families are welcome at Beer City. All drinkers 21 and over receive a wrist band to access the tasting.
Where can I park?
There is a parking lot off Winfield Boulevard at the East Entrance.
Is the event rain or shine?
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed. Dogs must be on-leash the entire time.
Beer City will follow all restrictions from the City of Sacramento and Sacramento County.
